HAZARDS IDENTIFICATION
In emergency dial 111, and then ask for Fire, Ambulance or Police as necessary.

- Skin contact may cause irritation due to mechanical action on sensitive skin.
- Eye contact causes irritation due to mechanical action and secretion of tears.
- Inhalation causes coughing, sneezing and respiratory problems.
- Ingestion may cause stomach ache, vomiting and diarrhoea.
FIRST-AID MEASURES
Inhalation |
Remove victim to fresh air and keep at rest in a position comfortable for breathing. |
Eyes |
Rinse cautiously with water for several minutes. Remove contact lenses, if present and easy to do. Continue rinsing. If eye irritation persists: Get medical advice/attention |
Skin Contact |
Wash with plenty of soap and water. If skin irritation occurs: Get medical advice/attention. Take off contaminated clothing and wash before reuse. |
Ingestion |
If swallowed, do not induce vomiting: seek medical advice immediately and show this container or label. |
FIRE FIGHTING MEASURES
Extinguishing Media |
Use foam, carbon dioxide, or dry chemical extinguishing agents. Water spray or fog may also be effective for extinguishing if swept across the base of the fire. Water can also be used to absorb heat and keep exposed material from being damaged by fire. |
Fire Fighting Methods and Protection |
Firefighters should wear full protective equipment and NIOSH approved selfcontained breather apparatus. |

Exposure to the spilled material may be irritating or harmful. Additional precautions may be necessary based on special circumstances created by the spill including; the material spilled, the quantity of the spill, the area in which the spill occurred. |
Environmental Precautions |
Avoid runoff into storm sewers and ditches that lead to waterways. Do not flush spill to drain. Prevent the spread of any spill to minimize harm to human health and the environmental if safe to do so. |
HANDLING AND STORAGE
Handling |
Avoid breathing dust/fume/gas/mist/vapors/spray. Wash thoroughly after handling. Use only outdoors or in a well-ventilated area. Wear protective gloves/protective clothing/eye protection/face protection. Avoid creating and inhaling dust. |
Storage |
Store in tightly closed original container in a dry and cool place. No specific recommendations. Keep away from food, drink and animal feeding stuffs. Keep separate from substances subject to catalytic decomposition by dust, e.g. peroxides. Removal of the polyethylene film may cause electrostatic charge, therefore removal should NOT be carried out where this could be dangerous. |
