Castor Wax is heavily used in the cosmetic industry when a waxy component is needed in a formulation. It also acts as a thickening and moisturizing agent. Examples include eyeliner pencils, anti-antiperspirant sticks, body washes, creams, lotions and lipsticks. Castor wax is also used to make liquid soaps.

FIRST AID MEASURES

Consumption    If swallowed, rinse mouth with water. Seek medical advice immediately and show this container or label. Do NOT induce vomiting
Eye contact First rinse with plenty of water for several minutes (remove contact lenses if easily possible), then take to a doctor.
Inhalation Remove person to fresh air and keep at rest.
Skin contact Remove contaminated clothes. Rinse skin with plenty of water or shower. Refer for medical attention.

FIREFIGHTING MEASURES

Suitable Extinguishing Media         Use extinguishing media appropriate for surrounding fire. Carbon dioxide, dry chemical, foam, water spray, sand.
Unsuitable Extinguishing Media Do not use a heavy water stream. Use of heavy stream of water may spread fire.
Fire Hazard May be combustible at high temperature.
Explosion Hazard Risk of explosion by shock, friction, fire or other sources of ignition. Risk of explosion if heated under confinement.
Reactivity Stable at ambient temperature and under normal conditions of use.
